 - 뜻 : 일종의, 각종의, ..란 종류 

 

이는 다음과 형태는 다르지만, 뜻은 같음 

 

* sorts of / kinds of / types of   * a sort of / a kind of / a type of

 

kind of, sort of, type of 뒤에는 셀 수 없는 명사..

또는 셀 수 있는 명사 단수형 (관사 없이)이 옵니다 

단, 회화에서는 관사 a,나 an을 붙이기도 함

What type of (a) dance is that?

 - 뜻 : 일종의, 각종의, ..란 종류

 

■ 단수형, 복수형으로 두루 쓰입니다.

What sort(s) of music do you like most?

 

 

 

 

I like all kinds : hip-hop, pop, rock, and classical.

 

 

I like all sorts : hip-hop, pop, rock, and classical.

3. kind of, sort of+ 형용사/동사/절

 - 뜻 : 뭐랄까 / 좀. ./ 어느 정도..

 

@ 주로 회화에서 쓰임..  

 - 말을 분명히 안하고, 좀 흐릿/애매하게 말할 때..

 

Why don't you like this kind of music? : 왜 이런 음악 안 좋아해?

 

Well.. it's sort of loud. : 음.. 좀 시끄러워서..
